A Place to Train

Dojo [def.] is often translated as school or training hall, however it more literally means "Place of the Way".  Sensei Mick's classes are currently hosted by America's Fitness Center [Show on Interactive Map].

I'm used to training in any place big enough to fit my students and I: spare rooms, squash courts, community halls, even a bone fide dojo. When I moved to the USA I had aspirations of continuing to teach - but needed a place to do so.  This could be quite difficult as you can imagine, especially in Hutchinson, MN where there are already a number of clubs in a relatively small town.  After meeting Larry Johnson the [then] manager of the America's Fitness Center in Hutchinson, I was given the generous offer of a place to teach.
